I feel these people had to prove themselvs alot.They were of a different race so people thought lesser of them.So when these people worked they had to work three times as hard as white people did.Some even started out as slaves,so it shows how far you can go if you work hard.Some people dont even know some of the most important and daily house hold items were made by African Americans. Such as peanut butter. So next time try to find some of the things they made,and see how hard they had to work to make them
