American Inventor

By: Chris P.
Texas, Age 15

I would feel, first of all, very grateful that I live in a country of opportunity like no other. I would take heart in the fact that in the United States of America, hard work and perseverance is rewarded, no matter the color of my skin, my national origin, my religion, my ethnicity, who my parents were, or how much money they have. Then, whenever someone told me that I am a credit to African Americans, I would respond by saying,''no, I am a credit to America, because I am a hardworking AMERICAN''.
