The Allosaurus of the Late Jurrasic is the true
carnivore of its time apart
from Megalosaurus which was slighty smaller than the biggest Allosaur which A maximus a giant theropod stood over 12.5 m long and weighed in as 5 tonnes it was nearly as large asthe biggest Tyrannosaurus-Rex ever found Was Sue Which was 12.8 m long and weighed 7 tonnes. The Allosaurus fragilis was the most feirce predatr of its time and scientist have found that Allosaurs may have hunted in packs to bring down the giant sauropods of the plains like Apatosaurus and Diplodicus that also lived at that time. The remains of fossils and skin have been found in Australia,Alberta,Wyomoing,Canada, Africa and USA.The
Allosaurus diet conisted of
Iguanadonts,stegosaurs,
Dryosaurs and even giant Sauropods.Closest reletives of the Allosaur were the Neovenator and and of the biggest land Predators ever to live the Charcaradontosaurus and Giganotosaurus. The Allosaurus also had special weopons for killing there prey they were Three razor sharp claws situated on its srong arms along with sharp slicing teeth.The Allosaurus stood on two extremely strong legs capable of high speeds up to 45 km an hour making it easier two chase down its prey.The Allosaurs had two crests obove its eyes which were used to atract mates so you see the
Allosaurus was a true hunter.
