PLATEOSAURUS
by: JACOB G., Grade: 3

AN EGG TUMBLES. IT'S SIBLINGS ARE STILL HATCHING. JUST THEN TWO HATCHED HATCHLINGS SQUEAL LOUDLY. LILIENSTERNUS HAS COME FOR A KILL. THE SOUND OF HATCHLINGS ATTRACT MORE LILIENSTERNUS, WITH AN ANGRY MOTHER. THE MOTHER WACKS THE FIRST LILIENSTERNUS WITH HER HEAD, AND HAS BROKE BOTH HIS LEGS. THE TWO OTHER LILIENSTERNUS EAT HIM INSIDE OUT.
THE YOUNG PLATEOSAURS LOOK FOR A DRINK. AS THEY COME TO A POOL, THERE'S TRIOPS (TADPOLE SHRIMP, NOTOSTRACA, DINOSAUR SHRIMP.) THE YOUNG PRACTICE WACKING THEM OUT OF THE WATER WITH THEIR HEADS. THIS WILL HELP THE YOUNG PROTECT THEIR YOUNG WHEN THEY'RE OLDER.

AS A MONTH PASSES, THE YOUNG ARE GOING FAR AWAY FROM THEIR MOM, AND ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. HERRASAURUS HAS COME FOR A TASTE. THE YOUNG SQUEAL AND TROT FOR MOM, CAUSE THEY CANNOT RUN. HERRASAURUS EASILY CATCHES UP, WITH ONE HATCHLING AND RUNS AWAY BEFORE THE ANGRY MOM CATCHES UP.

AS FIVE YEARS PASS, THE YOUNG ARE READY TO MATE. THEY COME WITH MORE PLATEOSAURS TO MATE. SOON, ALL THE PLATEOSAURS IN THE FAMILY HAVE NESTS OF THEIR OWN!!!!!
