All about Mosasaurus
by: Vijay J., Grade: 6+

Mosasaurus was a really large sea reptile. It was about 40 - 50 feet long. It fed on ammonites and other sea creatures (including Icthyosaurus, a dolphin-like sea reptile). It had four 3-meter long flippers which it used propel themselves underwater.
Mosasaurus is an air breather (like other sea reptiles), so it had to come up to the surface to breathe. Mosasaurus competed for the acceptance of mating a female.
Mosasaurus is a really formidable hunter. It would be impossible to go across the sea if mosasurus was still alive!
Mosasaurus is a great prehistoric animal to learn about!!
