A Spinosaurus that Died of Hunger
by: Samuel E., Grade: 6+

Long ago, in a swamp in Egypt, a Spinosaurus went looking for some fish. It looked around, but couldnít find anything. So, very grumpily, it slowly trudged back to its home in the forest, lay down and slept, dreaming of fish. The next day, it was woken by the unmistakable sound of a happy Spinosaurus eating fish. The incredibly hungry Spinosaurus ran as fast as it could (for the record, 24 k/h), but sadly, all it found were footprints leading very far away. Even grumpier than the day before, he went home. He didnít dream at all that night. The next morning, it was very hungry. It was considering chewing on a large tree branch when it heard a very faint splash! Running even faster than yesterday (breaking the record for the fastest Spinosaurus) it arrived at the lake. He listened. Nothing. Breaking the record for grumpiest Spinosaurus, he went home. The next day, he slept in. The day after that, he died of hunger. A long time after, a guy named Richard Markgraf was digging in Egypt. He found the dead Spinosaurus. A hundred years later, a kid named Samuel decided to write a story about a Spinosaurus who died of hunger.
