T-Rex
by: Tatiana M., Grade: 6+

Tyranosaurus Rex, or T-Rex, was one of the biggest carniverous dinosaurs that ever lived, besides Spinosaurus and Megosaurus. The T-Rex had a thick, heavy skull that was 4 feet long. It was 40ft long, and about 20ft tall. It weighed about 9 tons. T-Rex could run about 15 miles per hour. Tyranosaurus Rex had about 200 bones. Tyranosaurus means Tyrant Lizard, and Rex means King in Latin, and put together it means King of the Tyrant Lizards. Scientists believe that this dinosaur could eat 500 pounds of meat at once. It must have had a big appetite! Tyranosaurus Rex lived in forested river valleys in North America. To me, the Tyranosaurus Rex was an awesome dinosaur.
