Craig Kielburger was 12 when he launched a campaign to fight child labor all over the world. His organization, (Kids can) Free the Children, and his activism soon propelled him into the limelight. The Toronto, Canada, native appeared on CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and 60 minutes. His small group blossomed into a network with members in 35 countries.
Kielburger is still working to help poor people, and he would like everyone to do the same. So far (Kids Can) Free the Children has built more than 300 schools in countries that needed them. The organization has also distributed millions of dollars in medical supplies and provided food, clothes, and toys to homeless children in Afghanistan.
