in the U.S.A.
people who live in the United States speak Spanish. Their families
come from Latin American countries. They are called Latinos. Color
the map to see where many Latinos live.
- Many Mexicans live in California, Texas, and Illinois. Find
California (CA) on the map and color it green. Find Texas (TX).
Outline it in green, but leave the inside white. Find Illinois
(IL) and color it red. Green, white, and red are the colors
of the Mexican flag!
- Many Cubans live in Florida. Find Florida (FL) on the map.
Color it blue.
- New York has the largest variety of Spanish-speaking people.
Many are from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico,
Cuba, and Puerto Rico. Color New York (NY) orange.
- Look at all the states you have colored. The largest groups
of Spanish-speakers live in these states!
