Fallen Angels by Walter Deann Myers

Review by: Cameron M.
Iowa, Grade 7

I think Perry was a lot like most American soldiers becuase both are probably scared going into battle but can be brave when it really counts. My favorite character was Pewee because has wasfunny and was always tring to be a clown. In this book I learned that whale the army tries to look perfect and organnized thousands of soldiers are dieing because of mixed up papper work and poor living conditions.

The book Fallen Angels is about an arrmy soldier named Perry who is sent to Vietnam durring the Vietnam war. He is put with a troop stationed in the middle of Vietnam. He goes through a couple of battles with this troop and quickly becomes friends with a war loving soldier named Pewee. Throughout the rest of the book Perry and Pewee have many advenntures together, but their last adventure turns innto something nno one would have suspected. I would rate this book a 3 out of 5 because it had good battle sceens and a interesting view point but it sometimes got kind of slow.
