Have you ever heard of the book Search For Safety? Well in my opinion you should read this book . Its just like a real life story. During the Ben, (the main character) and his mom are living with Larry ,Ben’s stepfather. Later in the story Larry gets furious,and begins to beat Ben and his mother . I think you should read this book because the book has Interesting Characters, Explores Important Issues, and Realistic Dialogue.
One reason Search For Safety is a good book because it has Interesting Characters, Geneva (Ben’s mom) is going to marry Larry ; however, Ben and Aunt Fay think it's too early for marriage. Here's a quote that shows Ben as an brave character “A good man doesn’t slap his woman and child around I shot back”. This quote is interesting because it shows that Ben really wants his mom to leave larry because he is physically hurting them both .This quote is good because you can imagine how much Ben dislikes Larry .
