The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells

Review by: Ian D.
Nevada, Grade 10

Something interesting I found about this book, was it's probable realism. IF there were aliens, that had mastered interstellar travel, they would either have been invulnerable to whatever we could have used against them.

I thought that the novel was an outright stupendous read, and felt more like it had actually happened, by how much attention to detail was put into the story. Through the seeming anonymity of our narrator, we were able to see the near end of our human existence, and we vividly understood the reduced mentality of a human in fear, panicking to escape the ''giant fighting machines'' and ''deadly heat rays''.
