Owl at Home by Arnold Lobel

Review by: Nicholas D.
New Jersey, Grade 2

Hi, my name is Nicholas! I'm in grade 2 and from New Jersey. The book I want you to read is Owl at Home, by Arnold Lobel! I think you should read Owl at Home because it is a spectacular book! This is a book about Owl sitting all alone. Owl lives by himself in a little house. One evening he invites Winter to sit by the fire. Another time he finds two strange bumps in his bedroom and when Owl goes for a walk one night the moon follows him home.

Owl lets Winter in the house and his pea soup turns into ice! Then Winter goes out of the house and the pea soup is warm again! Is it magic or what? Owl tries to talk to the Moon because he is lonely. Read this book and find out if the Moon actually answers him back! I feel sorry for Owl because he was thinking about sad stuff and was about to cry because he was lonely. Read the book and find out what finally makes Owl so ecstatic!
