Harry Potter #1: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

Review by: Kyle T.

Are you looking for an interesting book to read? I recently read a fantastic novel written by none other than J.K. Rowling. This book is called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. It has won several awards in past years, and is probably one of my favorite books.

When Harry is an orphan at his aunt and uncle’s home in Little Whinging, Surrey, you start to feel pity for him. All of a sudden, he receives a mysterious letter in the mail, informing him that he must go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry’s aunt and uncle don’t necessarily approve of this idea, but they are afraid the wizards will attack them if they object from Harry going to the school.
I really felt sorry for Harry, but then that feeling starts to turn into envy. Who wouldn’t want to be the most popular person in the world? It would definitely be bland after awhile, but it would be fun to try.J.K. Rowling really makes all of the characters likeable, especially Harry. I will continue reading all of these amazing books written by her for sure.
I give this book a five star rating because of the unique storyline. I love reading about Harry exploring the world and learning about his past.
