  Evermore by Alyson Noel

Review by: Sarah H.

If you like mysteries and never-ending romance, then this is the book for you.

In the romantic story, Evermore, by Alyson Noel, the main character and heroine, Ever Bloom gets a second chance at life. When a horrific accident leaves Ever's family dead, she has to live the rest of her life with regret and sorrow. Ever was killed too, but somehow, she was saved at the brink of death. So now she lives a normal teenage life, except that she can see everyone's aura and she can read their minds. Ever manages to live a ''normal'' life until a gorgeous boy named Damen, enrolls into the school. Damen falls in love with Ever, though Ever doesn't really know if she feels the same way.

So, Ever is a sixteen year old girl who has special and unique abilities. Unfortunately, everyone at school thinks she is a total freak. When she was living with her family in Oregon, she had a regular teenage life and she didn't worry about anything. Now in California with her Aunt Sabine, she has to avoid and deal with everyone's harsh judgment. Then there is this boy who complicates things...

The story takes place in California, a favorite place of mine to visit, and is the one really big reason why I like the book. I love warm places and Alyson Noel made me feel like I was actually in California. I would recommend this book for young teens who enjoy romantic mysteries.

In the book Evermore, no one appreciates how short their lives are, except Ever doesn't have to. Ever and Damen are both immortal, they will live forever, but Ever must realize her abilities before it's too late.

Find out if Ever truly figures out why she has special abilities - read Evermore.
