  Grade 10 Reviews
Mao's Last Dancer by Li Cunxin

Review by: Ania M.
Other, Grade 10

One interesting thing about the book was how Li Cunxin always thought about his family first and foremost. Whenver he had money or something of worth, he would send it to them to help them out. He wanted his parents to have a better life.

I loved the book. It was written really well. I loved it because it's a true story-a personal story about a boy's journey from knowing nothing about ballet, to being one of the best dancers in his country/the world. His achievement in becoming one of the best dancers proves that no matter who you are, where you come from or what nationality you are, if you set your mind to something and are determined to achieve what you have set out, you can achieve it.
