One thing that was interesting in Cold Days by Jim Butcher was how and why Queen Mab chose to bring Harry Dresden back to life.
In Cold Days the main theme was the concept of free will. Harry cannot rid himself of the mantle of the winter knight because its the only thing keeping him alive. He has to control the persuading evil it bring him. If Harry had no morals he could use that evil and do anything he wanted.
This book is full of suspense. One moment Harry is wounded and the next moment he is in a huge battle with someone. And the suspense will lead up to an action scene.
The book fits in to the mystery and fantasy genre. Its a mystery because Harry has to find who kills someone and who is going to attack what. Its a fantasy because of its supernatural themes. There are wizards, vampires, talking skulls, werewolves and more.
I liked how there were some funny parts in this story. but, I didn't like how the story was fast paced. I also liked how there were no cliff hangers at the end of the book.
>my view on the book was that the book ha great morals like camaraderie. The book was great entertainment for me during my free time during school.
