Hush Money by Robert B. Parker

Review by: Josh B.
Wisconsin, Grade 10

The story is about Spenser who is a private detective. He got a case from his friend Hawk, it was about a suicide by a homosexual male college student. The background of the suicide was that Prentice Lamont hanged himself out the window, know one knows why he hung himself. Adam Levines was reported of having a sexual relationship with Prentice Lamont (Adam Levines is the History teacher at the college) and when Adam broke off the relationship Prentice killed himself. But there is no proof Adam ever dated Prentice. Spencers other was about a stalker who was stalking KC Roth and Spencer needed to find out who the stalker was. KC Roth divorced her husband to get together was another man but the other man wouldnít leave his wife. This is a good book and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in murder mysteries or mysteries in general. I would recommend Robert B. Parker to anyone who enjoys reading books.

Why I think the book is good because Robert adds in other elements to the story other than just the murders or the stalking, but Robert add in Spencerís daily life. Robert add in aspects that other writers donít add like his personal life with his girlfriend Susan or him working out with his friend/Co-Worker at the gym. I recommend this book to anyone who loves murder mysteries but I donít recommend this book to kids who are not in HighSchool because the book gets sexual and talks about drugs and alcohol which is not good for younger kids. Robert B. Parker was recommended by my mom to me and I got a liking to his books. As soon as Spenser starts to dig deeper into the case of Adam Levine and Prentice Lamont
