The Dirt Diary by Anna Staniszewski

Review by: Kaelin B.
Louisiana, Grade 7

The Dirt Diary is a fiction book written by Anna Staniszewski. It is about a girl named Rachel who kind of stole $287.22 from her college fund and is trying to put it all back without her mother noticing. She tries to earn all of the money by working for her mom's new cleaning business on weekends. At first, it seems so lame and boring, but then her crush asks her to spy on his girlfriend while cleaning her house, then it gets interesting because he pays her to spy! ''You're wondering what's in it for you.'' He pulls a twenty- dollar bill out of his pocket. ''How about I give you this now, and when you have some info for me, I'll give you twenty more. Deal?''

I really liked this book. I would recommend this book to all girls ages 12-16. It is a very good book. I enjoyed this book because it was very interesting an funny. It shows how you can be a responsible teenager and how you can be a secret spy. It kind of makes me think of something that I would do if I spent all of my college money without my mother knowing.
