10 True Tales: Heroes of 9/11 by Allan Zullo

Review by: Macie E.
Missouri, Grade 7

The emergency workers of nine eleven are truly heroes. Most of the heroes are from New York City and have families of their own. The heroes differ in age and gender. The 9/11 attack happened in early morning and everything was not cleared and cleaned up until several years later. Many of the heroes were firefighters, police officers, members of army forces, EMTs, first responders, and workers helping other workers. They were willing to face death and take dangerous chances to save others. It all started on September 11 ,2001, at 8:46 am, American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the 110-story North Tower. Seventeen minutes later, 9:03 am, United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the twin South Tower. A third plane at 9:37 am, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. A fourth plane was aiming for the U.S. Capital but rebelled and ended up in Pennsylvania. The plane that crashed into the North Tower crashed through the 99th floor and the 93rd floor. The South Tower Plane crashed into the 77th and 86th floor.

I like this story because I learned a lot about 9/11 and that many people died because they were trapped or they burned to ashes. I disliked this book because the author had different points of view from each medical group and all the stories were almost the same. I would recommend this book to people who like reading about people surviving and when people save others lives. Weren’t dealing with an accident, were under attack!
