The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Review by: Brenna C.
Missouri, Grade 6

I really loved this book. I liked that the book tells a real story about a girl named Hazel Grace Lancaster. Hazel is 16 years old. Hazel also has cancer.

This book was very interesting for me. I got to know about Hazel and how she was living her life. In the beginning of the book she stated that she thought a lot about death because she knew she was slowly dying. Hazel often went to support group. This place was called ''the literal heart of Jesus''. Which was a church basement.Hazel tried over and over again to convince her mom to let her skip support group, but that never worked. Anyways, i liked that the author described Augustus' looks at Hazel in ''the literal heart of Jesus''. Issac was very interesting to me because he expressed his anger in different ways. I was surprised when Gus let Issac destroy his trophy when Issac was upset about his girlfriend breaking up with him. My very favorite part in the book was in Amsterdam when Gus and Hazel go to the Anne Frank house. This was a very special moment for Hazel. She had to face challenges that she never thought she could do. Hazel was a very strong person, and she inspired so many people.
