  Dead-End Job by Vicki Grant

Review by: Morgan D.
Alberta, Grade 6

I have always loved the scary type of book. But, what I love more is a twist of mystery and adventure. It's like myventure. In Dead-End Job, Frances is supposedly a plain, simple art geek, with a jock boyfriend, an art loving friend, and a creepy stalker. Her life is normal, just like everyone else's in Lockport. When ''Devin Orser'' comes into Frances's life, it spins around. Her boyfriend gets jealous, her friend gets mad, and there is no one left to save her.

I really liked the book because the content was so suspenseful, you never knew what was coming. Vicki Grant described the most tense part of the book so well. She slowed down, and really let the readers see what was happening. For me, it turned right into a movie. Vicki Grant was a perfect author, describing everything in a spectacular way. I literally have no words to describe it.

I think that Frances portrays an amazing version of a victim. She makes it seem like Devin is really going to hurt you, not just the character in the book. So basically, if you want to see for yourself, just go read it!
