  Grade 7 Reviews
Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis

Review by: Bailey B.
Nebraska, Grade 7

At the beginning of the book throughout the first couple of chapters I couldn't get attached to it. Then after a few chapters I couldn't stop reading it. It was a great book; I liked it so much. Bud, Not Buddy is about a kid at an orphanage that was put out in the back yard in a shed. The Amoses locked him in; however there was a window that was covered with newspaper. He slid it open then went to a library and slept under a tree. The next morning Bugs, one of his friends, finds him and then they go to Hooverville. They finally go back to Flint. Does he ever find his dad. Read Bud, Not Buddy to find out.

I rate this story a five out of five because it is very interesting. It draws you in after about two chapters, and you cant stop reading it after that.
