Review by: Benjamin B.
Minnesota, Grade 8

This is the most adventurous book ever!

Lewis and Clark: Leading America West a book written by Steven Otfinoski. This is a detailed, adventurous, non-fiction book about before, during, and after the journey of Lewis and Clark. This book will interest you very much if you love history like I do. I would rank this book 5 out of 5 star book because it keeps you engaged in the story the whole time.
This is a book about Lewis and Clark going on a journey to find and explore the land and find a trade route to the Pacific Ocean from America for Thomas Jefferson. In this courageous trip, Lewis and Clark meet many Indian tribes good and bad as they fight to survive in the harsh environment. This book was very well written and was easy to understand. I think this book teaches people to never give up as Lewis and Clark never did. Overall, I think this book was extremely interesting. It teaches you much about history, life, and hope. Read this book!
