The Black Stallion by Walter Farley

Review by: James H.
Florida, Grade 5

It became a movie.

In Walter farleyís book the black stallion is about how a boy name Alec became friend with a wild horse name Black. It is an ok book, it not the best ,but it not the worst. The good part of the book is how strong the bond between the boy and the horse you can almost feel. You can tell that the horse love him and boy love him to.
The bad part of the book is that they like to throw you to many places at once. It may just be me but I donít like. I canít Really explain it why I donít like but overall the book is really good. Alec is nice and is starting to realise that he is becoming an adult,he survive on his own and has a pet horse. Alec is a good character I like overall. The black stallion, a wild thing. He calm down over the chapter he still a little but calmer. The setting of the book is basically everywhere.first on a ship, then on an island, and now in the USA there not much more go on. In conclused the is ok. There are a lot of morale but the one I see the most is the coming of age and donít judge a book by it cover but overall it an okay book
