David Rain's Dragons #1: The Fire Within by Chris D'Lacey

Review by: Shaun F.
Connecticut, Grade 7

My favorite part of this book was when David got to meet Mr. Henry Bacon I think that his name is hilarious. He also always gets fooled by the squirrels by burying nuts in the ground so that they grow up to be big oak trees in his lawn. I can't wait to read the next book Ice Fire.

I liked this book because of all the interesting parts. Like the mysterious noises in the dragon den, the squirrel traps and cat disapearances. The clay dragons that Liz and Lucy make are the most exciting part because David the main character thinks that these clay dragons are able to come alive. All of these different dragons are in special places and sometimes get moved around.
