Review by: Kenny D.
Oregon, Grade 12

He met Ho Chi Minh and he worked with Ho Chi Minh during the war with the French and the Vietnam War.

I like this book because the book is easy to read and this author's life is interesting. The author was raised as a rich, highly educated Vietnamese boy. His father wanted him to become a pharmacist, but when the resistance against the Japanese and the French happened in his city Saigon after World War II, he was interested in joining the resistance. However, his father wanted him to focus on his education to become a pharmacist, but he disobeyed his father and his father stopped giving him money for his education and he had to become independent and he became focus on politics by taking political classes at an university. After he finished his political studies, he participated in the war against the French.
