  Grade 10 Reviews
  Future Shock by Elizabeth Briggs

Review by: Ali F.
Oregon, Grade 10

The book, Future Shock, had a very interesting portrayal of the future. The way it was presented was unique. This was shown primarily through the change in technology. In the future, technology mirrored what your brain wanted. The internet was controlled by what your brain felt, and there was no need for physical contact what so ever. This device was called a ''flexi.'' Clothes were also fully customizable and electronic. All in all, the technology in the future of the book was substantially different and very obscure.

The book, Future Shock, had very dynamic and interesting characters that developed over time and made the book overall enjoyable. All the characters at the beginning of the book are very shallow and there is many mysterious about who they are. However, as the story progresses, they are shown more and more until their full identity is revealed.
