We Are All Made of Molecules by Susin Nielsen

Review by: Jade M.
California, Grade 10

“We are all made of molecules” by Susin Nielsen has not been like any other book I have read before. It talks about real life situations but also makes you laugh with all the humor in it. This book makes you fall in love with so many characters that’s it hard to put the book down with all the tension of wanting to know what's going to happen next.
Stewart is a “academically brilliant but socially clueless.” character, but you will fall in love with him through his unique personality and also by how he always tries to stay positive. Once he finds out his dad is planning for them to moving in with girlfriend. He is happy for his dad that he has moved on after his mom’s death, but at the same time he does not want to lose his mom’s image. Even though with this thought he had always wanted to have a sister, but little did he know how Ashley would take this news.
Once Ashley was told about this she was not that excited as Stewart was. She wasn’t ready to move on to a new chapter in her live why she was still hung up with her dad being gay After all her entire life she has been a only child and always got what she wanted. Having Stewart and his dad move in would be to much for her. Compared to Stewart Ashley is not that great in school but she is great in the social aspect.
Once both of their worlds collide it was a rocky start that didn’t progress mulch. Ashley continued to refused being part of this new family. She was only glad that at least both of them didn’t have to go to the same school. Until she realized that Stewart decided to go out of his comfort zone and go to a public school (the same school as her.). She was afraid that he was going to ruin her reputation which was something she really cared about.
Much after the first day of school Stewart got messed with this kid named Jared. Jared was also a new kid at the school but compared to Stewart he became well known very fast. He happened to like Ashley so when he found out that he is Ashley’s brother he apologize and became his “friend” and basically uses him to get to her. After a while one of Stewart’s friend talked to him to watch out for Jared that there is something suspicious about him. That friend turned out to be right.
Want to know what was Jared’s true intentions and how it brought Ashley and Stewart closer together then read the book “We are made of molecules”by Susin Nielsen to know what happens next that this is only the beginning of the story and it only gets better from her.

It’s like no other book I’ve ever read.
