A Series of Unfortunate Events #13: The End by Lemony Snicket

Review by: Abby W.
Pennsylvania, Grade 6

If you like books that are strange and keep you on the edge of your seat, you will love this tale of the Baudelaire orphans. Their parents get killed in a terrible fire. They are looking for a good guardian. The three orphans get stranded on an island with a villain named Count Olaf who has been trying to steal their enormous fortune. He was the orphanís first guardian. One of the things I liked about this book is that this book has a great vocabulary, so I learned a lot of new words, and what they mean. I also liked that The End wasnít a lot like other books. The characters were a lot different because they like a lot of things and were a lot smarter than regular children than you would imagine and the story was usually very exciting.

The End was a very good book. There were a lot of good, strange parts, but it was very exciting. I liked The End because at some points the book kept you on the edge of your seat. Something I didnít like about The End is that some of the times Lemony Snicket got off track, but for most of the book it was very interesting to read.
