The Secret Garden is a fictional story about a sickly, spoiled, nine year old named Mary Lennox.Mary Lennox was born and raised in India by wealthy British parents who mostly ignored her. They left her in the care of servants or her nanny, Ayah, up until the cholera epidemic broke out, which left Mary as the sole survivor in her household. Alone and orphaned she is sent to live in a isolated manor in the middle of a moor in Yorkshire, England with her uncle Archibald Craven. Uncle Archibald is a widower still mourning the death of his beautiful wife who died ten years earlier.
