Review by: Michael P.
Pennsylvania, Grade 7

In the House on the Gulf Britt, her older brother Bran, and their momhave been cooped up in apartments all their life, not having enough money to even live in a house because their mom's parents abused and disowned her. But when they move to Florida and Bran gets a house-sitting job for the old couple, the Marquis', where they get to live in their house everything seems to be going right, except when Bran starts Hiding the mail, not letting anyone meet the neighbor, and hiding all the old stuff in the house. But what will happen when Britt finds out that the Marquis' are really the Marcus' and that their mom's maiden name is Marcus?

I liked this book because it's a thriller and, a must read for anyone who likes a good mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. This is a book that will pull the reader deep into the story. And, I would recamend this book to everyone who likes reading a great mystery. The twists, turns, changes, and lies that make up this book will make the readerread every page even more carefully.
