Review by: Angel V. Arkansas, Grade 6 A must read!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best book in the gray griffins series(book2). Max,Ernie, Harley,and Natalia are the main characters in the book. Max and his friends live in Avalon and Max's dad asks him and his friends to come to Scotland for christmas.But it goes all wrong when they have to fight off bone crushers,fire ball pixies,bog beast,and goblins. Then his dad goes missing and now one knows were he is. They're trying to get Max's dad back and find the witching well to save Ryan and to defeat Morgan Lafay. They also trying to keep the codex spiritus out of evil hand. The codex spiritus is a book with all kinds of pictures of fairies,goblins and pixies. Max and his freinds use it to defend themselves.
