Bella at Midnight by Diane Stanley

Review by: Tatyana T.
Arizona, Grade 6

This book s about a girl named Isabel, who is abandoned by her father when she is just a baby. Isabel's father, Sir Edward blames Bella for his wife's death. So, Bella gets sent out to a ''foster'' home. As she's living there, she meets and makes friends with a young boy named Julian. Not only is he charming and kind, he is the prince of Moranmoor! After many years, Sir Edward sends for Bella to come back home. She doesn't stay for long though, because she finds out that a surprise attack on a royal wedding has been scheduled. Not only that but Julian is supossed to be there! Bella rushes to save him. Can she make it in time?

I liked how the book takes place in an old-fashioned time period because the characters used words like: thus, thy, etc.
