Alex Rider #1: Stormbreaker by Anthony Horwitz

Review by: Alex R.
Oregon, Grade 7

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horwitz is a very vivid book that I would recommend for ages 8+. After Alexís uncles death his life has been different. He is drafted into MI6 by Alan Blunt. He is a boring old man who shows no emotion. He has been briefed and told that a man, Harold Slaye has made a super computer to give to every school in the world. But is there more to this computer than what meets the eye.

Alex is a normal 14 year old, blonde hair blue- eyed that doesnít take life that seriously. That is until his uncle dies. When this happens his life turns upside down backward and sideways. He is a bright, fit and smart kid. When he is drafted into MI6 [Englandís intelligence agency] he finds out that his uncle is a spy. MI6 wants Alex to join their organization. He lives in London, England with his house keeper Jack.
All and all this is a well-rounded great book that will have you craving for more.
