Air Raid - Pearl Harbor! : The Story of December 7, 1941 by Theodore Taylor

Review by: Richard S.
Pennsylvania, Grade 7

This book is very interesting because the book tells of both sides of the story by telling of the Japanese as well as the American. The book also describes the feelings and opinions on the attack of certain military officials. It shows of how the japanese comanders aranged and how they executed the complex attack upon the unexpected Naval Base of Pearl Harbor. So many things are interesting about this book that it is very hard to choose one. This is because it describes all of the political negotiations that failed to bring a peacful begining and end to the japanese and American conflict. If u want to know more read Air Raid - Pearl Harbor by Theodore Taylor

I liked this book because World War II is one of my favorite subjects to read about. I love to learn about the wars and battles that brought Americans to the status we are today i love to learn of all the great and not so great accomplishments we have done in the past during this war. Pearl Harbor specificly is one of my favorite subjects to learn about because for as long as i can remember I've been intrigued by the abstract thinking that the japanese commanders must have used to find out the most oportune time and place that the americans would not even have thought about the Japanese attacking.
