I Have Lived A Thousand Years by LIVIA BITTON-JACKSON

Review by: Steven R.
New York, Grade 10

The book is about a girl named Elli Friedmann who lived in deathcamps during World War 2. She had undergone many challenging obstacles while struggling to survive. For example, at a point in the book Elli has to try to sneak her mother out of the death camp infirmary.

I liked this book for the reasons that it kept you guessing. You are on the edge of your seat experiencing what it was like for yourself. Every sentence that is written draws you deeper into the memoirs of Elli Friedmann.
