One thing that I found interesting was Jakkin and Akki's connection to Heart's Blood's hatchlings and other dragons. After taking refuge in Heart's Blood's birthing chamber after she died, Jakkin and Akki could survive through Dark After and send and receive picture messages to themselves and to and from dragons. Another thing I thought was interesting was the strange water that blocked Jakkin and Akki's sendings.
This is the final book of the Pit Dragon trilogy. Along with the first book Dragon's Blood and its sequel Heart's Blood these books are page turners for dragon enthusiasts and fantasy lovers. All three books are great reads and definitely recommend it.
