Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, M.D.

Review by: Shin D.
Other, Grade 10

Cheese is the hope of people. It can be money, jobs, authority or it can be a healthy body. People dream for different cheese. However when they really earn their cheese, people cannot give up the cheese even if that cheese is rotten. They are too much attached to their old cheese. The writer says that people should change their self with the change of circumstances. This is clearly brought out through the story of two mice (Sniff&Scurry)and two human children(Ham&Hue).

By reading this book, I asked myself who I can identify with among those 4 characters. What is my old cheese? What is going to be the new cheese? I think Iím very similar to Ham, who can not realize the changes around because of the comfort level of an old cheese. I regret the time that I wasted. The biggest obstacle to change is locating in our mindsets so to get rid of this change, we should change our self first. Nothing will get changed if we donít change our self.
