There are two women born a decade apart that created a friendship by marrying the same man. This was accepted in their religion in Kabul, Afghanistan. The man was abusive, the first wife saved the second wife by having her disappear and let her receive the consequences.
What I liked about this book was the two wives begun to strategize how to run away and thought through and it became reality even though it resulted in a murder tragedy.
