A Million Little Pieces by James Frey

Review by: Nikki D.
New Jersey, Grade 10

Something interesting about the book was Frey's unique view on how he could become sober. While most people believed the only way to be healed was to become a part of Alcoholics Anonymous, Frey turned to love and strength within himself instead.

The book was enjoyable because it is Frey's true life account of addiction and recovery. I liked seeing the progress he made page by page and cheering him on throughout the journey. However, the length of the book frustrated me, and I feel parts of the story were unnecessary to the lesson as a whole.
