I Am Mordred: A Tale of Camelot by Nancy Springer

Review by: Kevin H.
Arkansas, Grade 7

One interesting thing about this book was the whole nephew/son thing for Mordred because he was King Arthur's son and nephew which I find interesting.

Is a person actually born evil? This is the theme to Nancy Springer's I Am Mordred. I Am Mordred is an adventurous tale about Mordred, who is destined to kill his father, King Arthur.
In the land of Camelot, Merlin prophecies that Mordred is destined to kill his father. King Arthur tries to avoid this by setting Mordred off to sea to die. He's found by a fisherman and woman. Until one day, when a woman comes to take Mordred away. He is raised to be known as the son of King Lothe.
