Cry The Beloved Country by Alan Paton

Review by: Leah T.
Alberta, Grade 10

This book is interesting because of the way it contrasts good and evil, in a world full of racial ways and redemption you walk through the story of a man who only begins to see part of the world and all its sad truths.

I liked this book because it is creatively written. Leaving no detail out, you start to feel for the characters and discover a part of the world you don't see in your everyday life. It is a beautiful story with a lot of heartache but is followed through with compassion.
