Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis

Review by: Brock M.
Kansas, Grade 7

The book I read was Bud Not Buddy. The author of the book is Christopher Paul Curtis. The setting was took place in Flint Hills and Grand Rapids in the 1930ís. The coolest thing about the book was it was very adventuress. The conflict in the book is that his mother died four years ago and she gave him flyers and he thought it was a hint to go find his dad. So he escapes from the orphanage to Grand Rapids.

The connection between Bud and I is that when he missed the train and was running for it reminded me of when I missed the bus and had to run for it. I wonder what would have happened if Bud did get on the train. I liked the book because it was very adventurous and sad at the same time.
