Fight for Life by Laurie Halse Anderson

Review by: Hayley C.
Massachusetts, Grade 6

It was about a vet and that's what I'd like to be when I'm older and also it was sad and warming at times and fast moving at others, and I liked that about it.

The book Fight for life is a very good book. In my opinion, it was sad and warming at times but fast moving at others. I'd probably give it a nine on a scale of one to ten, as I said, I really liked the book.Mostly because it's about a vet, and when I'm older that's what I'd like to be. But also because of how it is, fast moving at times but sad and warming at others, and I like that about it. So if you like books like that, I suggest you read this. Fight for life is about a girl who lives with her gramma in the vetrinarian because her gramma is a vet. But the advantage of living there is that she gets to help out with everything. A lot of people had been coming in too, with thier sick puppies they had just got from the farmers market, sold by this same guy who wouldn't give them any infomation about them or health records. A few died but most of them survived. They made the rest a bed and had them lay down all cozy and warm, all they had to do now was find the guy who was selling them and shut him down. They found the street he lived on and then got a list of people who lived there and their phone numbers. They called and called until they finally found the guy. But now they just didn't know what to do. If you would like to find out what happens, you should really read this. As I said, I really liked the book.
