The Big Field by Mike Lupica

Review by: Sierra H.
Illinois, Grade 7

I read the book The Big Field by Mike Lupica. This book is about a boy nicknamed Hutch and he loves to play shortstop for his team, but win another boy nicknamed D-Will shows up and steals the position away all Hutch wants to do is win his father back and go back to playing shortstop rather than second base and play on the big field during the championship games. This book shows friendship, trust, love, and devotion in alot of different ways.

I loved the book because I already love the author Mike Lupica and many of his other books. I would recomend this book to any others who is a fan of Mike Lupica or likes to read sports book with a great story line other than game scores.
