Review by: Sarah R.
New Mexico, Grade 6

Bella at midnight is a fiction book filled with mystery & adventure with a tad bit of romance. This fantastic book was written by Diane Stanley. Bella is a daughter of a knight whose mother dies and is given up by her father her own flesh and blood. Maud was Bella’s aunt. Maud gave Bella her name after her grandma Isabel.
Maud took Bella to the king's village to live with Beatrice who nursed the king’s kids. Bella was raised by peasants. Her best friend in the world was a boy named Julian who was also raised by Beatrice as baby. Julian is not only Bella friend since she was a baby. He is also a prince!!! Bella and Julian were friends since babies. They were two peas in a pod.
Until one day Bella's life started falling apart. Julian betrays Bella's friendship. Her dad wants her back. She has two stepsisters. Now she must find a way too save Julian. One of Bella’s quotes was ' I don’t give a fig about what you say I will do any to save Julian'.

I truly and honestly loved this book and had no dislikes what so ever
