Review by: Jordan J. Michigan, Grade 9 Lafita is the narrator and the main charactor. Lafita is actually a pseudomine, or a fake name, to protect her family who are still in Afghanistan. I would recommend this book because it really creates a feeling of living under the Taliban and forcibly following their decrees. You felt what it was like to live her life.
