Cabinet of Wonders by Marie Rutkoski

Review by: A.J. L.
Kansas, Grade 7

Petra’s father goes to work on a secret project in the prince’s court. When he is finished the prince takes some thing very special to her father when he returns home he can no longer continue his work. Petra must find a way to get what was stolen from her father back so there family will not lose their shop. In her quest she runs in to some trouble but she finds a way out and returns home safely.

I liked the book because I could connect to the main character in the scene that she was not the most girly or most popular girl in town but she does not care what other people think. She keeps living her life the way she wants and shows that she has a strong character. This book sent me a strong message that no matter what other people say we are all special in our own way!
