Harry Potter #1: Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

Review by: Cody S.
Texas, Grade 10

The book makes your imagination run. If you lost your imagination as a young child J.K. Rowling's writings will bring it back. Personally I would give the book a 9 out of 10 on the rating scale though. It holds your attention through out but the first part of the book isn't the main thing to pull you in.The story starts off as the young Harry Potter, orphaned;he grows up at his ghastly Aunt and Uncle's house, when he is eleven he is swept away to magical land where he meets his two best friends, and as the school year goes by he reveals more of his family and has a brush with the evil Lord Voldemort.
-Harry was suprised when he found out he was a wizard
-When he leaves his Aunt and Uncle
-When Harry finds out about the sorcerer's stone
-When Lord Voldermort is destroyed by Harry Potter
A quote that means a lot in this book is said by Harry Potter when he says ''I'm a wizard?'' This becomes the a main turning point in the book when Harry's life becomes better. This book should be read by people of the age between 12-80 all people could enjoy this book, there are many more in the series that keep pulling you in

This book didn't disappoint me.J.K. Rowling is an amazing writer with a magical imagination I have read all of the Harry Potter series and each one becomes better then the last.
